EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. — The City of Edwardsville has officially solidified its leadership roster for the upcoming term. During the regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, May 5, the Edwardsville City Council unanimously approved a comprehensive slate of appointments for city officials, aldermanic committees, and civic boards.

With Mayor Risavy presiding, the council moved swiftly through the evening’s agenda, drawing unanimous 6-0 votes from the present council members. Alderman Chris Farrar was excused from the session.

Top City Officials Confirmed

The council approved Mayor Risavy's nominations to head up the city's critical departments. The confirmed executive team keeping Edwardsville running includes:

• Jeanne Wojcieszak, Director of Finance
• Jeff Berkbigler, City Attorney
• Amanda Tucker, Director of Human Resources
• Mike Fillback, Director of Police

Aldermanic Committees Finalized

To streamline city governance, the council also structured its three primary oversight committees. The newly appointed chairs and committee members are:

• Public Services Committee: Chaired by Jennifer Warren, joined by SJ Morrison and Adam Hanna.
• Finance Committee: Chaired by Andrea Miracle, joined by Will Krause and Chris Farrar.
• Administrative & Community Service Committee: Chaired by Elizabeth Grant, joined by Will Krause and Andrea Miracle.

Civic Boards and Commissions See Renewed Dedication

Demonstrating strong continuity in community involvement, the council approved a wave of reappointments to various municipal boards. Residents were reappointed to serve on the Band Board, Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, Board of Fire and Police Commissioners, Edwardsville Environmental Commission, Fire Pension Board, Historic Preservation Commission, Human Relations Committee, and the Library Board.
